How would some other Christians define a loving God? And how would you define Gods unconditional love?

God showed his unconditional love for us by sending his son to die for our sinfulness, even though we didn’t deserve to be saved. He shows his love for us in that he forgives us, regardless of what we’ve done in the past, once we accept Jesus’ sacrifice for our sin. But don’t forget that while God has perfect love, he also is perfectly just. Justice requires punishment for wrongdoing (which is why Jesus paid for our sin.) Jesus specifically said that those who did not believe in him were already condemned. He said that he is the way to God, and no one comes to God except through him. If there was no need for Jesus’ sacrifice, then Jesus demeaned himself, suffered, and died for no good reason. Thus if God simply excuses sin without payment, he is not really just, and Jesus is a fool, and a liar.
