How would I simulate an automotive suspension system in MATLAB?
The mass-spring-damper system is covered by most every beginning physics book, as an application of Newton’s laws. The system is usually modelled as a differential equation. You set up some variables giving the spring constant, the weight, and the damping, then iterate through a few equations over time. See a good physics book or even Wikipedia for the details.
