The cover is secured by 2 screws. If your jazz bass has not previously had a cover, you will need to carefully make 2 screw holes. Lining up the cover can be tricky. Make sure it looks symmetrical. Have a look at Fender’s website and compare a picture of a fitted cover to your own bass.
