How would i become a Computer programmer or engineer. What is the difference between the two?

Both require math. CE deals more with hardware activity and at major universities Computer Engineering is a 5 year degree plan with engineering classes. CIS you will at least accomplish algebra, calculus, trigonometry and differential equations. Math isn’t that hard. It is much like learning a musical instrument. The more you put into it the better you feel. The other branch of Computer Science deals with database. That takes 4 years of business courses alongside the database aspects. More demand at the moment for DBA which isn’t so outsourced like the coders’ job duties. Database is more static, not so evolving. CIS I learned stuff that was old before I hit the street.

Programmer would most likely deal with creating programs and simulations, while an engineer would most likely be making computers and making parts ECT. Personally I think engineer would be funner and easier, I build my own computers and its really easy to learn, at least for me it was.

Hello engineer – you will do the hardware. programmer – you will create a software. As for me you’d better learn some web language like PHP or something. I’m a pro google advertiser.I’m 16 years old.I have never learned my homework and I had good marks at school, because I have done some jobs, I’m helping teachers with they’re pc’s. One more better for programmer use the Mac. I’m glad if i could help you.
