How would electing David and other Green Party MPs change things?
A greener Parliament will mean a push for a serious strategy on energy conservation and protection of the environment. It will support balanced budgets and using the extraordinary power of the market economy to fuel green job growth and better align market signals with desirable social and environmental goals. A greener Parliament will promote health and focus on health prevention for Canadians, in addition to treating disease. It will expand public transit and build healthy communities using “smart growth” strategies that won’t leave us breathless. It will make ending child poverty and homelessness a real national priority. It will establish democratic electoral reform so that every vote really counts, and it will be tenacious in protecting civil rights. Green MPs will work hard to leave this country and the world a better place for our children and grandchildren.
