How would Collier County citizens know that this is a good business deal?
An extensive vetting process is being undertaken by the State Legislature, the State Office of Trade, Tourism and Economic Development and the Collier County Commission. In-depth review of business plans and agreements to commitments on both sides would be fully developed and signed by both parties. For reference, a similar process for the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute resulted in a 500-page specification of responsibilities and agreement. Among the JAX commitments would be guarantees on job creation, timing for building facilities, and other important issues.
