How would an assault charge affect custody rights?
If he has a history of assault charges, especially towards children, then it could prevent him access to your child at all. However, it is just the one *minor* assault charge it will very likely have very little impact at all on his access tot he child, although it might have to be supervised and you could possibly insist on supervising them yourself based on you fearing your child is in danger. Don’t try to take his child away from him though just because things didn’t work out between you. You daugther needs her father aand you need to put her first.
