How would an Allergen be detected?
One way would be to have an allergy patch test. This test will determine the cause of the allergic sensitive rash, by placing ointments containing common causes of these rashes on your skin, and then checking to see what the patient reacts to. In about 70% of patients tested we can find a relevant item that the patient is allergic to. After the findings, the patient can then avoid the allergen or allergens that caused the skin rash.
