How would a town or city adopt the stretch energy code?
The stretch energy code appendix may be adopted by any municipality in the commonwealth. Lexington’s town legal counsel has determined that Town Meeting approval is required to accept or to enact as a bylaw the Stretch Energy Code. In order to be adopted, the appendix must be considered at an appropriate municipal public hearing, subject to the municipality’s existing public notice provisions.
