At switch box, two sets of 12/2 with ground wires, one set from power source, the other from light. Bare copper wires go together and white neutrals go together cap off and push into box leaving the two black wires. These go to the single pole switch itself. At first light there should be 2 sets or wires agains, one from switch box and other going to the other light.
