How windy is too windy to spray?
• A “too windy” period for us is 20 m.p.h. steady or gusting up to 30 m.p.h. However, depending on where you are located, 10 to 15 m.p.h. might be too windy. The real problem with wind is drift. Drift is how far the spray floats in the wind. The problem with drift is two–fold, safety being our primary concern! First, we do not want to risk having a bystander have solution blown on them! I train all my technicians to be extra cautious. Although no immediate or serious harm will occur, the solution should be washed off right away. We have zero tolerance for carelessness. Secondly, on the lighter side, we really don’t want to spray your neighbors home for free. That would not be a wise business venture. Although they might be happy with less bugs!
