How will you measure the reduction of discrimination based on the identity to cultural, religious and Aboriginal communities?
As we are trying to develop a sustainable model for public education and citizen engagement, and attempt to foster cross-cultural understanding by exploring integration and belonging, we will include methodology for examining issues of Canadian identity, racism, and discrimination with youth and community leaders. The degree that cross-cultural understanding is fostered as a result of the project will be measured in the short term through an analysis of responses to the youth surveys, community questionnaires and post-workshop evaluation surveys. Over the long term, attitudinal change in communities will be measured three years after the conclusion of the project to gauge effectiveness of the Action Plans and other products such as the Resource Manuals and Participant Kits.
