The minimum required competencies were identified by a DACUM (i.e., Developing A CurriculUM) job analysis conducted with practitioners. From the DACUM, standards were set which formed the basis for the questions that were developed for the exam. Each exam is based on a blueprint of a certain number of items per competency area. The Angoff determines the acceptable level at which we can assure competency for consumer protection.
