How will you calculate source BTUs saved for the competitive grant programs? Will you consider energy saved over the life of the equipment or only during funding period?
The applicant will be responsible for measuring and/or estimating the source BTUs saved by performing a certain project, and should also provide a description of their methodology in the narrative description portion of the application. For the purpose of evaluating the application, GEFA is interested in both the annual energy savings and the total savings over the life of the project. For the purpose of reporting, awardees will only be required to report annual energy savings.
