The idea is simple, free energy. Deploying wind mills over the areas will save a lot of cables tower construction which also reduce a lot of maintenance cost in long run. In addition, electricity will be weaken in long range and require a lot of boosters along the transmission. It would be possible to sell back the extra energy back to the government.
