There is no automated way within TEACH to determine whether your graduates applied for the Permanent or Professional certificate so that you may then submit your recommendation. For graduate student program completers, we advise you to submit two recommendations for these graduate students: one for a Provisional/Initial certificate (for those who do not meet the experience requirement upon completing the program) and one for the Permanent/Professional certificate. If the applicant does not qualify for the Permanent/Professional certificate, we will issue the Provisional/Initial certificate and hold the Permanent/Professional recommendation until the experience requirement is met and the applicant applies for that certificate.
