How will we ensure that project based learning has the rigor and is not all fun and games?

Students will have access to their projects and work at all times. Parents will be able to look at the projects design with the standards identified. The project briefcase will show parents all the work that students have been asked to do. Napa New Tech High has a 1 percent dropout rate. North Daviess Jr/Sr High School has a 12 percent drop out rate. Society has made many changes and some of them aren’t so good. The time is past when teachers can say “tough luck” to students who do not respond to traditional teaching methods that students find boring or irrelevant. It is the responsibility of the teacher to find ways to make learning relevant, engaging and fun.
