How will water be delivered to the Point Sturt community?
An 11 kilometres pipeline will be built which will improve water security and guarantee consistent water quality for the Point Sturt community. Who will receive water from the new pipeline? About 30 properties along the pipeline route will have the opportunity to connect and those eligible have been posted details of the project and a standard SA Water connection application form. Each property connecting to the system will receive a 20mm water meter with a flow rate of 5 litres per minute. The water meter will be a fixed to a location agreed to by the customer within 600mm inside their property boundary. Infrastructure associated with the water supply beyond this point is the responsibility of the customer. What costs are associated with connecting customers to the new potable supply?
