How will VoIP E9-1-1 calls reach the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP)?
See the VoIP E9-1-1 basic diagram below. An E9-1-1 call placed using VoIP service will be routed through the E9-1-1 system and Selective Router to the PSAP serving the subscribers self-identified address using a pseudo Automatic Number identification (pANI) referred to, for VoIP, as an ESQK (Emergency Service Query Key).
