It will be used only for emergency notifications which can be sent via text message (SMS), phone numbers (mobile, local residence, office, other) or non-Virginia Tech e-mail. You do not need to provide your Virginia Tech e-mail address; the university will continue to broadcast alert messages to Virginia Tech e-mail addresses.
