How will vacation be handled in the event of job action?

0

Depending on the circumstances, vacations for non-striking bargaining unit staff, all out-of-scope staff, exempt staff and professional staff will be cancelled once a strike becomes imminent. Staff in the striking bargaining unit on vacation at the time of the strike or who have previously authorized vacation scheduled to commence after the strike begins will be allowed to complete their scheduled vacation with pay. They will be considered on strike when their scheduled vacation ends. Vacation requests received after the 48 hour notice of job action is given will not be approved, except in extenuating circumstances.
