How will using a thermowell help us in our glass manufacturing business?
Thermowells are designed to be a strong protection for thermocouples and other temperature measurement devices, preventing them from being damaged by high pressure or extreme heat conditions. Using thermowells can be very helpful in protecting your valuable temperature measuring equipment from frequent damage. Glass manufacture is a very high heat and sometimes high pressure environment. If you often break your thermocouples or RTD sensors, you will likely benefit from using this protective device, that essentially sheaths the temperature measurement device in metal, ceramic, or other materials that can withstand being inserted repeatedly in vats of liquid or gas heated to extremely high temperatures (up to about 1700 degrees Fahrenheit). Question: Will my RTD sensors work just as well and accurately as they currently do if I use them inside of thermowells?
