How will Travel Solutions insure compliance with the Fly America Act?
Travelers should be getting approval from OPAA before booking travel. Travel Solutions will ask the same question during a phone call reservation as with an online booking event: This is a mandatory question that ALL Oregon State employees will be asked during the booking process. If traveling using Grant funds, are you required to adhere to the Fly America Act? The answer will be Yes or No or Not Applicable (for those not traveling on a grant). If Yes, Travel Solutions will quality check the record from the online booking tool to be sure that they traveler chose a US based carrier and if not contact them to rebook. If the traveler is calling – the agent will book properly.
