How will the Volt be heated?
A. All vehicle computers nowadays know when you have filled up the gas tank, and know how much you have added. There is a datastream item in the Computer that converts the analog signal of the fuel tank level sensor into percentage. That way, the Computer knows how fresh the fuel may be and can start the ICE if the fuel becomes degraded with various simple mathematical models. Running out any old fuel to heat up the vehicle might then be a way to keep the fuel viable. The same for Air Conditioning. The most important thing here, (from my observations of Advanced Processor Waveforms regarding efficient combustion), is to never buy any gasoline which is not “TOP TIER”. Choose your brands with religious fervor, and you are likely to be OK.
