How will the views and opinions of the public be heard?
The public consultation process is designed to provide residents with as many opportunities as possible to receive information on the Plan, and to make their views known. The City, NCC and the Parks Canada Agency are working together to collect public comments through an online consultation for a new urban park at Lansdowne. The partners feel strongly that the design teams should receive a clear understanding of what the public wants to see in this new open space. The input received was reviewed and summarized in a report form. The report was attached as an appendix to the request for proposals (RFP) and distributed to the five design teams. The package also included feedback received during the City’s fall consultations on the Lansdowne Partnership Plan. The public and community groups were given an opportunity to provide comments to representatives from the five design teams when they met with the City and its partners on February 24 and 25.
