How will the upgrade help make the network more secure?
When upgraded, the network will be more secure and less vulnerable to security threats due to greater firewall and filtering capacity at the network entrance to the campus. Improvements to the core network backbone for filtering within the campus network and improved tools for the management and detection of problems, such as anomalies resulting from security attacks, are also reducing threats and augmenting network security.
