Ans. Depends on the intensity level of the strike. Each unit has a significant level of protection. Please see our manual for specific information. The Beacon incorporates protection against voltage surges (as induced by nearby lightning strikes) and initiates a shutdown sequence in the event of a failure of one of the two LED lamps. MOVs are incorporated into the design to limit voltage spikes in excess of 250V at current levels of 12,000 amps. Contact Dialight if additional protection is required or deemed necessary.
