A – It is a mandatory requirement, set out in the Licensing (Mandatory Conditions No. 2) (Scotland) Regulations 2007, that all licensed premises keep and maintain on the premises, whilst a staff member is working there, a record of training undertaken by that person. The form of the training record is set out in the regulations, viewed by accessing the following link: www.opsi.gov.uk/legislation/scotland/ssi2007/ssi_20070546_en_1 • the form requires to be signed by the trainee and the person providing the training • failure to comply with the training requirements for staff would be a breach of the premises licence These records may be inspected by the Licensing Standards Officer.
