How will the Town Centre Master Plans support revitalisation?
The three master plans provide supplementary planning guidance to the Council’s existing planning policies. They provide an overall guiding vision for the towns which sets out proposals on how the town should be developed over the next 20 years to meet that vision. The master plans provide a co-ordinating tool, so that, as individual planning applications are made, these can be assessed against the master plan to ensure that the overall vision is achieved and that development is not ad-hoc.
