How will the test be timed? Will the computer keep time or will there be directions for the examiners on how to keep time?
Timing is tied to the test-taker, not to a group administration. If a test-taker doesn’t require the allotted time to complete the test, he or she may move on to the next section or test and the computer monitors the timing of the test, freeing examiners to concentrate on other monitoring duties during test administration. The GED Policy and Procedures Manual will be updated to include specific instructions for administering the GED Tests via computer.
