How will the switch to semesters affect my immigration status?
A. If your expected completion date, as currently listed on your I-20 or IAP-66, will change because of the switch to semesters, you will need to notify the International Student Office. You will also be required to secure a memo from your academic advisor indicating the new expected completion date. A new I-20 or IAP-66 reflecting the change will be prepared for you. The International Student Office will work with the academic departments to develop a system to make this notification as easy as possible.
