For new arrangements, the Shared Lives Scheme worker will be visiting regularly and keeping in touch with the provider to see how things are going. At the end of the first 4 weeks the Shared Lives Scheme worker will organize a review to ensure that the arrangement is working and that the provider and service user are happy. The care manager will be expected to remain involved to see if there are any issues from the service user’s perspective that need to be fed back to the care provider so that the arrangement can be tailored to meet the needs of the service user. The Shared Lives Scheme have developed and use its own monitoring process’s, which have been approved by the Commission for Social Care Inspection, to ensure the safety and well being of the service users and providers within it’s service.
