How will the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation support the work of the Quality Alliance Steering Committee?

0

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) is providing significant funding to the Engelberg Center for Health Care Reform at the Brookings Institution, America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) Foundation and others to support the vision of the Quality Alliance Steering Committee (QASC). RWJF’s support totals $15.8 million over 30 months and will help QASC coordinate efforts to: • Provide a comprehensive picture of individual physicians’ care patterns across their entire practices by combining data from many different national health plans. • Report on these data in a clear and meaningful way to local physicians, and to consumers and employers in local communities. • Measure performance in a way that provides a broader look at quality of care for patients with certain conditions, as well as measures that take into account appropriate use of resources. • Address racial and ethnic disparities in health care. RWJF will also collaborate with QASC through the Foundation’s related initiatives
