How will the retiree contribution be addressed if two spouses are commonwealth employees/retirees?

0

If an employee retires and is enrolled as a dependent under his or her spouse’s active commonwealth coverage or REHP coverage, the retiree will not be subject to the retiree contribution until he or she elects his or her own coverage under the REHP. At that time, the retiree would be subject to the retiree contribution rate. The contribution rate would be determined by the retiree’s retirement date. If the two employees/retirees elect to maintain their own REHP health care coverage, each person will be subject to the applicable active/retiree contribution rates.
