How will the Research Councils expect the universities to demonstrate value for money?

0

Demonstration of value for money will not specifically be required by the RCs. However, tThe RCs will be looking to publicise examples of good value approaches. TheyRCs may provide informal feedback to institutions that appear to be making poor progress in implementing skills training, and similarly will endeavour to encourage spread of good practice. It is assumed that institutions will wish to maximise the effectiveness of the training they are able to provide with the new funding, for the benefit of their PhD students and postdoctoral workers.
