Beginning in fall 2004, the 3 percent to 5 percent of Baylor freshmen who previously have not lived on campus will be required to join their classmates in campus residential facilities. The administration’s decision to begin requiring all freshmen to live on campus was made with great care and consideration. While the incredible benefit of tuition remission remains in place, Baylor’s administration will also work diligently to keep costs very reasonable, as it is known that the financial stresses of higher education are significant these days. Cliff Neel, assistant vice president and director of academic scholarships and financial aid, says there are several options available for financial assistance, including federal and state grants, institutional need-based scholarships, federal work-study, and low-interest loans.
