How will the recent RIF notices impact the Crown Point Community Schools?
Recently the school corporation handed out preliminary reduction in force notices to 46 teachers. Combined with the reductions made through attrition in 2010 the schools will feel the impact at all levels – elementary, middle school and high school as well as all areas of the curriculum. Teachers in the core academics of English, mathematics, science and social studies are included in these reductions. Teachers in world language, physical education, health, art, industrial technology, family and consumer science and music are also among the reductions.
