How will the public have a say in detailed plans?
The formal planning process now commences, which will include full and proper engagement with the Community and all relevant stakeholders. Imerys will work with its partners, Cornwall Council, South West RDA, the Eden Project and others on details for how planning applications will be developed and submitted to Cornwall Council for determination. Engagement with the local community provided essential feedback on our initial Clay Country Vision in spring 2008 and we are committed to continuing detailed and meaningful engagement with the local community through future stages of the project. We will develop processes with partners and local communities to enable everyone to work together and be a part of developing and delivering the future for the china clay area. A series of public exhibitions are planned for later in the year and details will be available in due course.
