How will the proposed development of the Catholic Central property affect the South Redford School District?
We anticipate as many as 300 new housing units within the next two years will be built in South Redford. This will bring in new families and will add students to the District which, in turn, will generate additional general fund revenue as well as raising the District’s tax base. As the taxable value of property in South Redford grows, the debt millage will go down. Commercial development and new housing are the two areas that will have the most significant impact on taxable value.
