How will the pre-storm value be determined?
Fair methods for determining the pre-storm values of damaged homes will be determined by the State in partnership with the professional services firm(s) with whom the State will contract to administer The Road Home homeowner assistance program. Some of the value factors under current consideration include the fair market value as determined by automated valuation methods (AVM), the home’s assessed value for property tax purposes, insured value, and value established by a recent pre-storm appraisal.
