How will the PLA advocacy symposium differ from other related training that is in progress or already completed in some states?
This training will emphasize building community partnerships, raising matching dollars, media outreach, message development and delivery, and more. The symposium will also give libraries the chance to learn from inspirational speakers and case studies, and to network with library staff from throughout their state. To enhance the experience for participants, PLA is reviewing and building on existing training resources already in the field.
