The pilots will wear an array of cold weather gear. Additionally, they will have sleeping bags and an onboard heater, and will have chemical heater packs available. Anytime the balloon is above 12,000 ft. in altitude (likely to be most of the flight), the pilots will breathe oxygen supplied by a liquid oxygen reservoir.
