How will the ordinance be enforced and what is the penalty for a patron who violates the ordinance?
It is the responsibility of restaurants and bars to notify its customers of this prohibition and to request that customers comply. In the event that a patron refuses to comply, any law enforcement or code enforcement officer can issue a verbal warning followed by a citation to appear in court. If found in violation, the court may impose a minimum $50 fine.
