How will the new entrance and parking affect traffic on Riverside Drive?
• The new main entrance on Riverside Drive will consolidate and eliminate the confusing and inefficient side-by-side driveways created by the adjacent Ross Center driveway. The new entrance creates one consolidated driveway with a new signalized intersection at Matilija Avenue, which will add 25% more capacity for all cars waiting to turn left and will create a safe pedestrian crosswalk. • The new Riverside Drivemainentrance will allow drivers to easily enter and exit the center without encountering pedestrians. By placing the new entry road along the eastern edge of the property, we will eliminate the need for pedestrians to cross traffic lanes to get to the mall from the parking areas immediately adjacent to Macys. • The signalized Riverside Drive entrance will aid in dispersing vehicles from the center while minimizing the length of time the traffic on Riverside Drive waits to enter the center.
