How will the new academic structures improve teaching quality and efficiency?
In the new College structures, existing teaching streams will be combined where appropriate and exciting new collaborative interdisciplinary courses will be developed. This will result in more imaginative and interesting courses for our students. At present, a large number of small classes are taught across the University, resulting in a huge burden for academic staff which impedes research. By making our teaching more efficient we will simultaneously reduce the competition that occurs between similar Schools, improve quality and increase the amount of time academic staff are able to dedicate to their research.
