How will the MRC use the data gathered by the ODGT?
This information will allow the MRC to build a broad brush impression of the outputs, outcomes and impacts of the work it has supported. While the information is built up from data specific to individual grants and researchers, the aim is to understand in more detail the progress and productivity of the MRC portfolio overall and, where it is appropriate, progress by segments of the portfolio split, for example, by subject area, mode of funding or research organisation. We will not be using this data to analyse or publish data on individual grants or researchers.
