How will the mice be cared for in space?
We have devised strict scientific guidelines for keeping our mice safe, healthy, and comfortable. An atmospherics team is in charge of scrubbing the air of harmful contaminants such as carbon dioxide and ammonia while also maintaining humidity within acceptable limits. We also have done extensive testing to ensure that our water and food systems meet all standards. The mice will be monitored by video systems during the flight to make sure they remain healthy for their five-week flight.
