How will the MHSA Support the Needs of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) Community?
A. Community Human Services (CHS), in partnership with John XXIII AIDS Ministry and Monterey County AIDS Project, will provide outreach, engagement and mental health counseling services for Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual and Transgender (GLBT) individuals. CHS will: Provide specialized mental health services to GLBT individuals; develop network of licensed providers with experience and expertise in GLBT issues; and train staff, network providers and therapist community in GLBT mental health issues.
