How will the Mentoring program at AHEPAcademy function?
After AHEPAcademy on Campus concludes, participants will be assigned mentors, preferably on a local or regional level to follow the progress and serve as a resource to these students as they apply for and select the college or university they will be attending after their senior year of high school. As these mentoring interactions will primarily take place over the telephone and the Internet, one mentor may be assigned to advise several Candidates at any one given time, and the proximity of Mentors to the Candidates does not necessarily have to be a primary concern. Mentors may be reassigned as appropriate as the Candidates progress with their college studies and chose a concentration, graduate program, or career path. It is the goal of AHEPAcademy Mentoring that these relationships continue at least through the end of a Candidate’s college or graduate study and placement in their field.
