How will the marine carrier know it is OK to load the container?
A 5. Customs will not issue OK to load messages. The marine carrier will assume the cargo is OK to load if Customs has not issued a “HOLD” notice within 24-hours of successful data transmission of the cargo report. If a supplementary report is applicable, Customs will issue a “HOLD” notice by the Estimated Date and Time of Loading (EDTL).
